Thanks to the participants of the Community Technology Symposium, Austin Connects has identified areas of interest to community technology professionals. The first area we are addressing is Youth Engagement. We hope you will join us for this exciting workshop to learn more about what other organizations in Austin are doing to get young people excited and involved with technology.

Topics include creative professions, computer refurbishment, technology and learning plus networking activities.

8:15 Creative Professions – Developing youth interest and cultivating skills in multi-media and STEM related fields.  Speaker: Carl Settles, Media Diversity Council

9:15 Break

9:30 Human Bingo – Meet your fellow participants in a fun and friendly game! With Prizes!

10:00 Computers in Little Hands – Refurbishing, repairing and placing computers in the homes of underserved students. Speaker:  Matt Stawicki,  American YouthWorks

11:00 Drawing for Door Prize, Adjourn
